New Economy Forum

 

A new community
for the new economy.

 

Economic power is shifting dramatically to new economies. New markets and new leaders are exercising unprecedented influence over the course of economic change on the global scale. While complex challenges persist, new opportunities are presenting themselves each day.

Established in 2018 by Michael Bloomberg, the New Economy Forum is a community of global leaders engaging with the world’s most significant changes and challenges. The event happens yearly and brings together over 750 of the world’s most influential CEOs, leaders, visionaries, scientists, entrepreneurs, and policymakers.

 
 

The Forum was built to compete with well-established events and gatherings, such as the G7 and the World Economic Forum. But from a branding perspective, the New Economy Forum needed a look that would stand out among its competitors.

So we collaborated with VSA Partners on the identity and evolved it over the years to meet the brands growing aspirations.

 

 The Event

The branding we created was used to develop a campaign which included print ads, digital ads, tv spots, radio spots, as well as large-scale signage in Singapore and Beijing.

It was also used throughout the event itself visible on hundreds of pieces of signage, digital animations, on-stage content, menus, and decor.

 


2021 Campaign

Following the success of the Forum’s inaugural year, New Economy expanded to become a brand new media vertical for Bloomberg Media, as well as a solutions think tank gathering to tackle some huge challenges facing the world.

We were tasked to develop new brand campaigns to promote editorial products and to generate interest in the annual event in Beijing. We collaborated with artist Matt Murphy to create custom illustrations for event and editorial promotion. Inspired by his editorial style and conceptual approach we brought to life abstract topics, such as inequality, automation, new energy and the economic shift from West to East.
